Job

JOB 1:19,21

“and behold, a great wind came across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young people, and they are dead, and I alone have escaped to tell you…  And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.””

Job’s 10 children were tragically killed in a windstorm. He attributed this and other tragic events to the hand of a just God.

JOB 26:12

By his power he stilled the sea; by his understanding he shattered Rahab.”

JOB 37:9

“From its chamber comes the whirlwind, and cold from the scattering winds.”

PSALMS 135:7

“He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the earth, who makes lightnings for the rain and brings forth the wind from his storehouses.”
